May Newsletter

Three-Year-Old Preschool
May 2010
Dear Preschool Families ~

Here we are, heading into the last weeks of school!  It is so amazing to see how much your children have grown since those first days of preschool last September!  Things you will need to know this month:

Tuesday, May 1 – Zoo Animals Theme – Library books due.
Snack:  AM – Swonder       PM – Allmond

Thursday, May 3 Field Trip to the Detroit Zoo – No Class
Since the majority of those families attending have annual memberships, there were not enough of us purchasing daily tickets to qualify for the discounted group rate.  Adult admission is $14.00, Children 2-14 are $9.00 and parking is $5.00.  Please meet inside the front gates at the zoo between 10:15 & 10:30.  We will proceed to the Butterfly Garden at 10:30.  It will be difficult to keep a large group such as ours going at the same pace and in the same direction for very long, but we will do our best.  We will try to re-group again at noon near the Arctic Café.  You may purchase meals there, bring a picnic lunch, or head home at that time if you desire.

Tuesday, May 8 – Fish – Library Books Due

Thursday, May 10 – Yellow Day Your child is invited to wear
Yellow and bring in a yellow show and tell to share.

Wednesday, May 23 ~ End of the Year Picnic.  Our AM & PM classes will join Mrs. Vieregge and the Four-Year-Old preschoolers at Starr Jaycee Park on 13 Mile Road, 1 block east of Crooks.  We will meet from 11:00 - 1:00 for lunch and fellowship with friends and family.  Details of the picnic will be sent home soon.

God’s Blessings to all in the month ahead and the summer to come!
Mrs. Austin

As apostles of Christ we could have been a burden to you, but we were gentle among you, like a mother caring for her little children.  We loved you so much that we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well, because you had become so dear to us.
1 Thessalonians 2:7-8
